Youth In Action

Youth in Action is a six-year, $39.8 million partnership between Save the Children and The MasterCard Foundation. Launched in 2012, the program aims to improve the socio-economic status of approximately 40,000 rural out-of-school boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 18, in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Ethiopia, Malawi and Uganda.

Youth in Action links education and livelihood support through a focus on building and enhancing young people’s lives. The provision of sustainable livelihood support combined with an increase in skills and knowledge development ensures that the young participants are equipped to make informed decisions about their future.
