Save the Children supporters hold creative fundraisers for Ukraine

Over the past few weeks, Canadian supporters have joined us to raise awareness and funds to support the children of Ukraine. Here are a few examples of the creative and personalized ways that individuals are raising support for children:

Max Keys plays the keys: This eight-year-old musician took his talent to Instagram with two online concerts in hopes of raising $10,000. So far he has raised more than $6,000! To help him reach his goal visit his page (https://maximumkeys.ca/)

John Hillman does it again! – For the third year in a row, 103-year-old John Hillman plans to walk to support children in crisis. The WWII veteran will do 103 laps around his residence to raise money for children and families effected by the war in Ukraine. His goal is to raise $103,000 this year. Over the last two years, John has raised more than $214,000 to support Save the Children’s programs. Greg Godovitz goes above and beyond: Canadian musician Greg Godovitz has put a lot of effort into raising funds to support children affected by the Ukraine crisis. He recently auctioned a guitar signed by notable international musicians. He also asked his friends and family to donate to Save the Children in honour of his birthday. In addition, he has donated a limited edition signed poster by the members of the band RUSH and plans to keep the momentum going over the next few weeks. These are just a few of the many supporters who are using their talent and their heart to help make a difference in the lives of millions of children.

Thank you to all our supporters who are raising funds through runs, auctions, school fundraisers, company and hockey team ‘pass the hat’ collections, art, music, restaurant sales, and other creative activities.

We truly appreciate your efforts to help us reach children in Ukraine and surrounding countries with essential needs and support.
