Meet our youngest fundraiser

Ahmber, 13, from B.C. is our new super supporter who has been creating artwork for donations. Ahmber spurred into action when she learned about the number of children around the world who are unable to receive an education.

Ahmber explains: “As a 13-year-old girl growing up in Canada, I have the privilege of receiving an education. But, one day I came to a realization that not every child has this opportunity. About 70 million children [of primary school age] across the globe are unable to receive an education. This sparked an idea in me: my passion for art could support those in need of an education. By drawing your requests, I can fundraise for underprivileged children across the world. Your donation can create a positive impact on someone’s life.”

Ahmber became interested in drawing at an early age. She was selected as a grade-group finalist for the Doodle 4 Google 2017 contest.

In November 2018, Ahmber held an art exhibition at Thompson Community Centre in Richmond B.C. to raise even more funds for our work.
