Protect a Girl from Early and Forced Marriage

Each year, 12 million girls marry before the age of 18. Child, early and forced marriage often ends a girl’s education; limits her ability to find a good job; forces her into adult responsibilities; and puts her at risk of early pregnancies and death during childbirth. Help tackle the root causes of this gender-based violence, and change discriminatory social norms through education, awareness campaigns, and advocacy alongside youth, parents, teachers, and community leaders.
