About the Program

At Save the Children, our face-to-face fundraisers connect with communities across Canada to inspire long-term support for children living through crisis and conflict around the world.

Represented by our dedicated partners Public Outreach, SunSpark, and GiveBridge, our passionate fundraisers are active every day in malls, grocery stores, as well as commercial and residential neighbourhoods in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia to engage the public and inspire their support. Fundraisers encourage donors to sign up for affordable ongoing (monthly, quarterly, or annual) donations which are essential for Save the Children to drive sustainable impact for children worldwide.

Our passionate fundraisers can be easily recognized by their red Save the Children vests or shirts, along with official lanyards and ID badges. If a fundraiser is still in training, their badge may be marked as “Trainee” or “In Training.”

To ensure legitimacy and keep your payment information safe, our fundraisers never accept cash donations. Instead, they will guide you through a quick and secure sign-up process using a tablet device. As part of this process, you will also receive a brief verification call to reconfirm the details of your donation. SunSpark fundraisers will call from 226-840-6264, GiveBridge fundraisers will call from 855-623-6788, and Public Outreach will call from one of the following numbers to complete the verification call – 437-837-6783, 587-487-3190, 647-805-6201, 604-800-3731.

Our fundraising partners adhere to strict ethical and professional standards outlined by Imagine Canada, and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). This helps ensure that Save the Children is being represented to the public with transparency, accuracy and care.

Our fundraisers can be seen safely and proudly representing Save the Children in shopping centers and grocery stores, on street corners, and at your door in neighbourhoods throughout British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta and Nova Scotia.

While every donation makes a difference, monthly, annual and quarterly gifts have a uniquely powerful impact. Recurring contributions provide Save the Children with dependable, long-term support, enabling us to help provide clean water, food, education, and healthcare for children in crisis worldwide. Monthly, quarterly and annual gifts strengthen our ability to respond right away when a war breaks out or disaster strikes and to sustain vital programming within a community long term. Regular donations are transformational for Save the Children and enable us to reach children when and where they need it most.

Thank you for taking this meaningful step to support children and communities – we truly appreciate your generous support. Once you sign up, you will receive an immediate confirmation of your ongoing gift via email or SMS. Our team will then attempt to call you within a few days to welcome you to our program and to reconfirm your gift details. You’ll also receive a Welcome Kit in the mail within approximately 30 days of joining our program. To keep you connected to the impact you’re making, Save the Children will send regular updates via email or SMS.
