No Child Born to Die - Hunger & Nutrition

Hungry for Change?

Every child has the right to health and the opportunity to reach their potential. The world is making real progress in saving children’s lives, but 7.6 million children are still dying each year from preventable causes.

The #hiddencrisis of malnutrition is an underlying cause of a third of child deaths. Unless we tackle it now, malnutrition will make progress in saving children’s lives almost impossible.

At the  G20 summit in Mexico City and at A Promise to Keep: Child Survival Call to Action in Washington in June, Stephen Harper has an opportunity to free millions of children from a life sentence of malnutrition. Let him know how important it is that he seizes this chance to save children’s lives. You can help - call on the Prime Minister to continue Canada’s leadership on food security and nutrition by signing our petition and by sending him an email. Together, we can give every child a life free from hunger.

Too many children die from acute malnutrition durng famine. Even more suffer from chronic malnutrition that undermines the development of their bodies and brains, with effects that last a lifetime.
