Breastfeeding is a mum's powerful, natural antidote to hunger and disease. It's effectively a child's first vaccination - and in the world's poorest countries, the choice to breastfeed or not can be the difference between life and death.

If all babies were breastfed within the first hours of life, 830,000 children's lives would be saved every year.

For two years Syria’s children have endured appalling suffering.

The daily struggle for survival grows more desperate as the conflict rages on. Children and families have been forced into makeshift shelters or overcrowded camps, struggling to find enough to eat, clean water to drink, and proper medical care. Two million children trapped inside Syria are innocent victims of this bloody conflict.
