How do I save a document?
Internet browsers save documents in a variety of ways which can often confuse users. To guarantee saving a document into your computer you should:
Right click on the link: a popup menu will appear. Scroll down that menu and click on 'Save Target As'. You will be then prompted to choose a folder within your computer to save the file to. To open the document, find the folder you saved it in and double click.
Instead of right clicking, hold down the mouse button and the menu will appear as above
Why doesn't my computer display the webpages properly?
This website has been designed to support as wide a range of browsers and operating systems as possible. However, for best results you will need Internet Explorer 4 or higher or Netscape Navigator 4.7 or higher. Many browser suppliers upgrade for free.
The International Save the Children Alliance endeavours to make its websites compatible with all browsers. However, if you are using an older browser (a level 3.0 browser for instance), you may see inconsistencies in the presentation of pages.
It may help you to download a newer version of a browser to improve your general Internet experience.

What accessibility standards does this website meet?
The International Save The Children Alliance are working towards achieving a high level of accessibility for all users of its own and its members' web sites.
Our web pages comply with standards called the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines(Priority Level 1). These guidelines explain how to make web content accessible to people with disabilities. Priority Level 1 is described as "a basic requirement for some groups to be able to use Web documents". Having achieved this basic level of accessibility, Save the Children is continuing to work toward ever greater accessibility with the implementation of Priority Level 2 standards.
