Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA)
CIDA is Save the Children Canada's most important institutional partner. CIDA funds much of our emergency response and development projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Support is provided via CIDA’s bilateral branches, both the Global Initiatives Directorate and International Humanitarian Assistance Division within the Multilateral and Global Programs Branch, as well as the Partnerships with Canadians Branch.

The HUMANITARIAN COALITION
Save the Children Canada is a founding member of the HUMANITARIAN COALITION, a network of Canadian NGOs that unite to raise funds to support emergency relief operations during crises. Together, the members of the Humanitarian Coalition have over 200 years of humanitarian response experience.
During emergencies we work together to reduce unnecessary competition, better educate the public on humanitarian needs, increase the impact of Canadian humanitarian responses and reduce administrative costs. The HUMANITARIAN COALITION speaks to Canadians with one voice; providing direct access to disaster and response information, coordinating spokespeople and sharing resources, including a single phone centre, website and communications team.
